The Flight to Egypt

¹³ Now when they had departed, behold, an ^(A)angel of the ^[a]Lord *^(B)appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him.”

¹⁹ But when Herod died, behold, an angel of the ^[a]Lord *^(A)appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,

²² But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Then after being ^(A)warned by God in a dream, he departed for the district of Galilee,

²⁶ And ^(A)it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not ^(B)see death before he had seen the ^[a]Lord’s ^[b]Christ.

²² And they said, “Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and ^(A)God-fearing man well spoken of by the entire nation of the Jews, ^(B)was directed by a ^(C)holy angel to summon you to his house and hear ^[a](D)a message from you.”
