Jesus Heals Many People
29 Jesus returned to the Sea of Galilee and climbed a hill and sat down. 30 A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all. 31 The crowd was amazed! Those who hadn’t been able to speak were talking, the crippled were made well, the lame were walking, and the blind could see again! And they praised the God of Israel.
Jesus Feeds Four Thousand
32 Then Jesus called his disciples and told them, “I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”
33 The disciples replied, “Where would we get enough food here in the wilderness for such a huge crowd?”
34 Jesus asked, “How much bread do you have?”
They replied, “Seven loaves, and a few small fish.”
35 So Jesus told all the people to sit down on the ground. 36 Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, thanked God for them, and broke them into pieces. He gave them to the disciples, who distributed the food to the crowd.
37 They all ate as much as they wanted. Afterward, the disciples picked up seven large baskets of leftover food. 38 There were 4,000 men who were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children. 39 Then Jesus sent the people home, and he got into a boat and crossed over to the region of Magadan.
Leaders Demand a Miraculous Sign
16 One day the Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus, demanding that he show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove his authority.
2 He replied, “You know the saying, ‘Red sky at night means fair weather tomorrow; 3 red sky in the morning means foul weather all day.’ You know how to interpret the weather signs in the sky, but you don’t know how to interpret the signs of the times![a] 4 Only an evil, adulterous generation would demand a miraculous sign, but the only sign I will give them is the sign of the prophet Jonah.[b]” Then Jesus left them and went away.
Yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees
5 Later, after they crossed to the other side of the lake, the disciples discovered they had forgotten to bring any bread. 6 “Watch out!” Jesus warned them. “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
7 At this they began to argue with each other because they hadn’t brought any bread. 8 Jesus knew what they were saying, so he said, “You have so little faith! Why are you arguing with each other about having no bread? 9 Don’t you understand even yet? Don’t you remember the 5,000 I fed with five loaves, and the baskets of leftovers you picked up? 10 Or the 4,000 I fed with seven loaves, and the large baskets of leftovers you picked up? 11 Why can’t you understand that I’m not talking about bread? So again I say, ‘Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.’”
12 Then at last they understood that he wasn’t speaking about the yeast in bread, but about the deceptive teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Ang Pulong Sa Dios
Daghan ang Gipang-ayo ni Jesus
29 Mibiya si Jesus didto ug miadto sa daplin sa Linaw sa Galilea. Ug unya mitungas siya sa bukid ug milingkod didto. 30 Daghang mga tawo ang miduol kaniya. Gidala nila ang mga bakol, ang mga singkaw, ang mga buta, ang mga amang ug daghan pa nga mga masakiton. Gipahimutang sila sa tiilan ni Jesus ug giayo niya silang tanan. 31 Nahibulong gayod ang mga tawo kay nakita nila nga ang mga amang makasulti na, maayo na ang kamot sa mga singkaw, ang mga bakol makalakaw na ug ang mga buta makakita na. Ug gidayeg nila ang Dios sa Israel.
Gipakaon ni Jesus ang 4,000 ka mga Tawo
(Mar. 8:1-10)
32 Gitawag ni Jesus ang iyang mga tinun-an ug miingon siya kanila, “Nalooy gayod ako niining mga tawhana. Tulo na ka adlaw silang nagauban-uban kanako ug wala na silay pagkaon. Dili ko gusto nga mopauli sila nga dili makakaon kay basin ug makuyapan sila sa dalan.” 33 Miingon ang iyang mga tinun-an kaniya, “Asa ba kita makakuha ug pagkaon dinhi sa kamingawan alang niining daghang mga tawo?” 34 Nangutana si Jesus kanila, “Pila ka buok ang inyong pan diha?” Mitubag sila, “Pito ka pan ug pipila lang ka gagmayng isda.” 35 Unya gipalingkod ni Jesus ang mga tawo. 36 Gikuha niya ang pito ka pan ug ang mga isda ug nagpasalamat sa Dios. Ug unya, gipikas-pikas niya kini ug gihatag sa iyang mga tinun-an. Ug sila mao ang nang-apod-apod niini ngadto sa mga tawo. 37 Nakakaon silang tanan ug nangabusog. Ug unya, gitigom nila ang pan nga nasobra, ug napuno pa ang pito ka bukag. 38 Mga 4,000 ka mga lalaki ang nangaon wala pay labot niana ang mga babaye ug mga bata.
39 Human niadto gipapauli ni Jesus ang mga tawo. Unya misakay siya sa sakayan ug mitabok sa dapit sa Magadan.
Nangayo ug Milagro ang mga Pariseo ug mga Saduseo
(Mar. 8:11-13; Luc. 12:54-56)
16 May mga Pariseo ug mga Saduseo nga miduol kang Jesus aron sa pagsulay kaniya. Miingon sila, “Kon gipadala ka sa Dios, pagbuhat ug milagro gikan sa Dios.” 2 Miingon si Jesus kanila, “Kon pula ang langit sa pagsalop sa adlaw, moingon kamo ‘Maayo ang panahon ugma.’ 3 Ug kon modag-om na ang langit nga sayo pa sa buntag, moingon kamo ‘Moulan karong adlawa.’ Kon motan-aw kamo sa langit mahibaloan ninyo kon moinit o moulan, apan karon nga mga panahon dili kamo makasabot sa mga timailhan nga nagakahitabo. 4 Kamo nga mga tawo niini nga panahon, labihan kamo kadaotan ug dili matinud-anon sa Dios. Nangayo kamo ug milagro, apan walay milagro nga ipakita kaninyo gawas sa milagro nga nahitabo kang Jonas.” Ug unya mibiya siya.
Ang Pahimangno ni Jesus bahin sa mga Pariseo ug mga Saduseo

5 Mitabok si Jesus ug ang iyang mga tinun-an sa linaw, apan ang iyang mga tinun-an nalimot sa pagdala ug pagkaon. 6 Miingon si Jesus kanila, “Pagbantay gayod kamo sa patubo sa pan sa mga Pariseo ug mga Saduseo.” 7 Sa pagkadungog niadto sa iyang mga tinun-an miingon sila, “Tingali gisulti niya kini tungod kay wala kita makadala ug pan.” 8 Apan nahibaloan ni Jesus kon unsa ang ilang gilalisan. Busa miingon siya kanila, “Nganong naglalis man kamo? Ngano ba diay kon wala kamoy pan? Wala ba kamoy pagsalig kanako? 9 Wala ba ninyo masabti nga dili kita angayng mabalaka bahin sa pan? Wala ba ninyo mahinumdomi ang lima ka buok pan nga akong gipikas-pikas aron makakaon ang 5,000 ka mga tawo? Nalimtan na ba ninyo kon pila ka bukag ang inyong napuno sa mga nahibilin nga pan? 10 Wala ba ninyo mahinumdomi nga sa pito ka buok nga pan gipakaon ko ang 4,000 ka mga tawo, ug may pila pa ka bukag nga nahibilin? 11 Wala ba kamo makasabot nga dili pan ang akong buot ipasabot sa akong pag-ingon, ‘Pagbantay kamo sa patubo sa pan sa mga Pariseo ug mga Saduseo’?” 12 Busa nasabtan nila nga dili diay ang patubo sa pan ang ilang angay bantayan kondili ang pagtulon-an sa mga Pariseo ug mga Saduseo.
