Matthew 15:17-20
English Standard Version
17 Do you not see that (A)whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled?[a] 18 But (B)what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. 19 For out of the heart come (C)evil thoughts, (D)murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, (E)slander. 20 (F)These are what defile a person. But (G)to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”

New International Version
17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart,(A) and these defile them. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.(B) 20 These are what defile a person;(C) but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”
