Matthew 12:34-36
New English Translation
34 Offspring of vipers! How are you able to say anything good, since you are evil? For the mouth speaks from what fills the heart. 35 The good person[a] brings good things out of his[b] good treasury,[c] and the evil person brings evil things out of his evil treasury. 36 I[d] tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak.

New International Version
34 You brood of vipers,(A) how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks(B) what the heart is full of. 35 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
