10 Suddenly, a man with a paralyzed hand appeared. The people[a] asked Jesus[b] if it was lawful to heal on Sabbath days,[c] intending to accuse him of doing something wrong.

11 But he asked them, “Is there a man among you who, if he had one sheep and it fell into a ditch on the Sabbath, wouldn’t take hold of it and pull it out? 12 How much more is a human being worth than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on Sabbath days.”[d]

13 Then he told the man, “Hold out your hand.” He held it out and it became normal, as healthy as his other hand.

10 and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus,(A) they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”(B)

11 He said to them, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out?(C) 12 How much more valuable is a person than a sheep!(D) Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”

13 Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.
