²⁰ For ^(A)it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

⁵ for ^[a](A)John baptized with water, but you will be baptized ^[b]with the Holy Spirit ^[c](B)not many days from now.”

⁸ but you will receive power ^(A)when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be ^(B)My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and ^(C)Samaria, and even to ^[a](D)the end of the earth.”

⁸ Then Peter, ^[a](A)filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “^[b](B)Rulers and elders of the people,

³¹ And when they had prayed earnestly, the ^(A)place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all ^(B)filled with the Holy Spirit and began to ^(C)speak the word of God with ^(D)confidence.

³ Therefore, ^(A)brothers, select from among you seven men of good reputation, ^(B)full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this need.

⁵ And this word pleased the whole ^[a]congregation, and they chose ^(A)Stephen, a man ^(B)full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and ^(C)Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a ^[b](D)proselyte from ^(E)Antioch.

⁵⁵ But being ^(A)full of the Holy Spirit, he ^(B)gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing ^(C)at the right hand of God;

¹⁷ Then they ^(A)began laying their hands on them, and they were ^(B)receiving the Holy Spirit.
