²⁴And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife,

New International Version

²⁴When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel^(A) of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.

²⁵^[a]but kept her a virgin until she ^(A)gave birth to a Son; and ^(B)he named Him Jesus.

²⁵But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.^(A)
