²⁰ But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the ^[a]Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “^(A)Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for ^[b]the One who has been ^[c]conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

²⁴ And Joseph got up from his sleep and did as the angel of the ^[a]Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife,

The Flight to Egypt

¹³ Now when they had departed, behold, an ^(A)angel of the ^[a]Lord *^(B)appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him.”

¹⁹ But when Herod died, behold, an angel of the ^[a]Lord *^(A)appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,

² And behold, there was a great earthquake, for ^(A)an angel of the ^[a]Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away ^(B)the stone and sat upon it.

¹¹ And ^(A)an angel of the ^[a]Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the altar of incense.

⁹ And ^(A)an angel of the ^[a]Lord ^(B)stood before them, and the glory of the ^[b]Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened.

²⁶ But ^(A)an angel of the ^[a]Lord spoke to ^(B)Philip saying, “Rise up and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to ^(C)Gaza.” (^[b]This is a desert road.)

³ About ^(A)the ^[a]ninth hour of the day he clearly saw ^(B)in a vision ^(C)an angel of God who had come in and said to him, “Cornelius!”
