24 Het begon hevig te stormen, zodat de golven in de boot sloegen. Maar Jezus lag te slapen. 25 De leerlingen maakten Hem wakker en riepen: "Heer, red ons! We zinken!" 26 Hij zei tegen hen: "Waarom zijn jullie bang? Wat is jullie geloof toch klein!" Hij stond op en sprak streng tegen de wind en het meer. En het water en de wind werden helemaal rustig.
