24 Ingen kan tjäna två herrar, för antingen kommer han att hata den förste och älska den andre, eller att hålla sig till den ene och inte bry sig om den andre. Ni kan inte tjäna Gud och mammon[a] samtidigt.

25 Därför säger jag er: oroa er inte för hur ni ska klara livet, hur ni ska få mat och dryck eller kläder att ta på er. Nog är livet mer än maten och kroppen mer än kläderna? 26 Se på himlens fåglar! De varken sår eller skördar eller samlar i lador, men er Fader i himlen ger dem mat ändå. Är ni inte mycket mer värda än fåglarna?

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Do Not Be Anxious
25 (C)“Therefore I tell you, (D)do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 (E)Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. (F)Are you not of more value than they?
