Jesus undervisar om äktenskapet
19 När Jesus hade avslutat detta tal, lämnade han Galileen och gick genom landet på andra sidan Jordan till Judeens område. 2 Mycket folk följde honom, och han botade dem. 3 Några fariseer kom fram till honom och ville snärja honom och sade: "Är det tillåtet att skilja sig från sin hustru av någon anledning?" 4 Han svarade: "Har ni inte läst att Skaparen från begynnelsen gjorde dem till man och kvinna[a] 5 och sade: Därför skall en man lämna sin far och mor och hålla sig till sin hustru, och de två skall vara ett kött?[b] 6 Så är de inte längre två utan ett kött. Vad Gud har fogat samman skall människan inte skilja åt." 7 De sade till honom: "Varför har då Mose befallt att mannen skall ge hustrun ett skilsmässobrev[c] och skicka bort henne?" 8 Han svarade: "Därför att era hjärtan är så hårda tillät Mose er att skiljas från era hustrur, men från början var det inte så. 9 Jag säger er: Den som skiljer sig från sin hustru av något annat skäl än otukt och gifter sig med en annan, han begår äktenskapsbrott." 10 Hans lärjungar sade till honom: "Om det är så med mannens ställning till hustrun, då är det ingen fördel med att gifta sig." 11 Han svarade dem: "Inte alla förstår det ordet utan endast de som har fått den gåvan. 12 Det finns de som inte kan gifta sig, därför att de är födda sådana, och de som inte kan det, därför att människor gjort dem sådana. Och det finns andra som för himmelrikets skull inte gifter sig. Den som kan förstå detta, må ta det till sig."
Jesus och barnen
13 Sedan bar man fram barn till Jesus, för att han skulle lägga händerna på dem och be. Men lärjungarna visade bort dem. 14 Då sade Jesus: "Låt barnen komma till mig och hindra dem inte! Ty himmelriket tillhör sådana." 15 Och han lade händerna på dem och gick sedan därifrån.
Jesus och den rike unge mannen
16 En man kom fram till Jesus och frågade: "Mästare, vad skall jag göra för gott för att få evigt liv?" 17 Jesus sade till honom: "Varför frågar du mig om det goda? En är den Gode, och vill du gå in i livet, så håll buden." 18 Han frågade honom: "Vilka?" Jesus svarade: "Du skall inte mörda, Du skall inte begå äktenskapsbrott, Du skall inte stjäla, Du skall inte vittna falskt, [d] 19 Hedra din far och mor och Du skall älska din nästa som dig själv." 20 Då sade den unge mannen till Jesus: "Allt detta har jag hållit. Vad är det mer som fattas?" 21 Jesus svarade: "Vill du vara fullkomlig, gå och sälj vad du äger och ge åt de fattiga. Då skall du få en skatt i himlen. Och kom sedan och följ mig." 22 När den unge mannen hörde detta, gick han bedrövad sin väg, ty han ägde mycket.
23 Jesus sade till sina lärjungar: "Amen säger jag er: det är svårt för en rik att komma in i himmelriket. 24 Ja, jag säger er: det är lättare för en kamel att komma igenom ett synålsöga än för en rik att komma in i Guds rike." 25 När lärjungarna hörde det, blev de mycket förskräckta och sade: "Vem kan då bli frälst?" 26 Jesus såg på dem och sade: "För människor är det omöjligt, men för Gud är allting möjligt." 27 Då tog Petrus till orda: "Se,vi har lämnat allt och följt dig. Vad skall vi få för det?" 28 Jesus sade till dem: "Amen säger jag er: Vid pånyttfödelsen, när Människosonen sätter sig på sin härlighets tron, då skall också ni som har följt mig sitta på tolv troner och döma Israels tolv stammar. 29 Och var och en som för mitt namns skull har lämnat hus eller bröder eller systrar eller far eller mor eller barn eller åkrar, han kommer att få hundrafalt igen och skall ärva evigt liv. 30 Men många som är de första skall bli de sista, och många som är de sista skall bli de första.

Marriage and Divorce(A)
19 Now it came to pass, (B)when Jesus had finished these sayings, that He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. 2 (C)And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.
3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?”
4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who [a]made them at the beginning (D)‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, (E)‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and (F)the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
7 They said to Him, (G)“Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?”
8 He said to them, “Moses, because of the (H)hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your (I)wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 (J)And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for [b]sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”
10 His disciples said to Him, (K)“If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”
Jesus Teaches on Celibacy
11 But He said to them, (L)“All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given: 12 For there are [c]eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and (M)there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”
Jesus Blesses Little Children(N)
13 (O)Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for (P)of such is the kingdom of heaven.” 15 And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.
Jesus Counsels the Rich Young Ruler(Q)
16 (R)Now behold, one came and said to Him, (S)“Good[d] Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”
17 So He said to him, [e]“Why do you call Me good? [f]No one is (T)good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, (U)keep the commandments.”
18 He said to Him, “Which ones?”
Jesus said, (V)“‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ 19 (W)‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, (X)‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have (Y)kept [g]from my youth. What do I still lack?”
21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, (Z)go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
With God All Things Are Possible(AA)
23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that (AB)it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
25 When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”
26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but (AC)with God all things are possible.”
27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, (AD)we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?”
28 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, (AE)you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 (AF)And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother [h]or wife or children or [i]lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. 30 (AG)But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

19 Quando Gesù ebbe finito di parlare, lasciò la Galilea e ritornò in Giudea oltre il fiume Giordano. 2 Unʼenorme folla lo seguiva, ed egli guariva tutti i malati.
Una trappola per Gesù
3 Alcuni Farisei vennero ad interrogarlo, cercando dʼingannarlo e fargli dire qualcosa che avrebbe potuto comprometterlo.
«Tu permetti il divorzio?» gli chiesero.
4 «Non leggete le Scritture?» rispose Gesù. «Cʼè scritto che fin dal principio Dio creò lʼuomo e la donna, 5-6 e che lʼuomo avrebbe dovuto lasciar padre e madre per essere per sempre unito a sua moglie. E così lʼuomo e la donna diventeranno una cosa sola, non più due, ma un unico essere. Perciò nessun uomo può separare ciò che Dio ha unito». 7 Gli altri insistettero: «Allora come mai Mosè disse che un uomo può divorziare da sua moglie, consegnandole semplicemente un atto di ripudio?»
8 Gesù rispose: «Perché Mosè conosceva i vostri cuori duri e malvagi; ma non era così che Dio aveva inteso da principio. 9 E vi dico questo: chiunque divorzia da sua moglie, salvo che per relazioni sessuali illecite, e ne sposa unʼaltra, commette adulterio».
10 Allora i discepoli di Gesù commentarono: «Se le cose stanno così, è meglio non sposarsi!» Gesù rispose:
11 «Non tutti possono accettare una condizione del genere. Soltanto quelli aiutati da Dio. 12 Alcuni sono impotenti dalla nascita e quindi non possono sposarsi, altri sono diventati impotenti, perché gli uomini li hanno ridotti così; altri ancora, invece, rinunciano al matrimonio per amore del Regno dei Cieli. Chi è capace di farlo, lo faccia!»
13 Furono portati a Gesù dei bambini piccoli, perché ponesse le mani su di loro e pregasse. Ma i discepoli sgridavano quelli che li portavano.
14 Gesù invece disse: «Lasciate che i bimbi vengano a me, non impediteglielo! Perché di costoro è il Regno dei Cieli». 15 E, prima di andarsene, pose le mani sulle loro testoline e li benedì.
Il ricco rinuncia
16 Un tale venne da Gesù e gli chiese: «Signore, che cosa devo fare di buono per avere la vita eterna?» Ma Gesù gli disse: 17 «Parli di bontà? Ce nʼè uno solo, sai, che è veramente buono: Dio. Ma, per rispondere alla tua domanda, ti dico che entrerai nella vita se obbedirai ai comandamenti».
18 «Quali?» chiese lʼuomo.
E Gesù rispose:
«Non uccidere,
non commettere adulterio,
non rubare,
non dire il falso contro nessuno,
19 onora tuo padre e tua madre,
e ama il tuo prossimo come te stesso!»
20 «Li ho sempre rispettati tutti questi comandamenti», replicò il giovane. «Che cosa devo fare ancora?»
21 Gesù gli rispose: «Se vuoi essere perfetto, vai a vendere tutto ciò che possiedi e dai il denaro ai poveri; ne riceverai un tesoro in cielo. Poi vieni e seguimi».
22 Ma quando il giovane udì queste parole, se ne andò via tristemente, perché era molto ricco.
23 Allora Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: «È quasi impossibile per un ricco entrare nel Regno dei Cieli.
24 Anzi, vi assicuro che è più facile per un cammello passare per la cruna di un ago, che per un ricco entrare nel Regno dei Cieli!»
25 Queste parole confusero i discepoli. «Allora chi mai può essere salvato?» gli chiesero.
26 Gesù li guardò fisso, poi disse: «Umanamente parlando, nessuno. Ma per Dio, ogni cosa è possibile».
27 Allora Pietro gli chiese: «E noi? Che cosa guadagneremo noi, che abbiamo lasciato tutto per seguirti?»
28 Gesù rispose: «Quando io, il Figlio dellʼUomo, siederò sul mio trono glorioso nel Regno, voi miei discepoli siederete su dodici troni per giudicare le dodici tribù dʼIsraele. 29 E chiunque rinuncia alla sua casa, o ai fratelli, o alle sorelle, o al padre, o alla madre, o alla moglie, o ai figli o alle proprietà per seguirmi, ne riceverà cento volte di più ed avrà la vita eterna. 30 Ma molti che sono i primi ora, saranno gli ultimi poi; ed alcuni che sono gli ultimi ora, saranno i primi poi».

19 Khi Đức Giê-su dạy xong những điều ấy, Ngài rời xứ Ga-li-lê và đi đến miền Giu-đê, bên kia sông Giô-đanh. 2 Nhiều đoàn dân đông đi theo Ngài; ở đó Ngài chữa bệnh cho họ.
3 Những người Pha-ri-si đến hỏi để thử Ngài: “Thưa Thầy, một người có được phép ly dị vợ vì bất cứ lý do nào không?”
4 Ngài đáp: “Các ông chưa đọc Kinh Thánh rằng: ‘Từ ban đầu, Đấng Tạo Hóa tạo nên người nam và người nữ.’ ”[a] 5 Ngài tiếp, “Vì vậy, người nam sẽ lìa cha mẹ để kết hợp với vợ mình, hai người sẽ trở nên một thân sao?[b] 6 Thế thì, vợ chồng không còn là hai nữa, mà là một. Vậy những người Đức Chúa Trời đã phối hợp, thì loài người không được phân rẽ.”
7 Những người Pha-ri-si lại hỏi: “Thế tại sao Môi-se đã truyền: ‘Hãy trao cho vợ một tờ giấy ly dị rồi để nàng đi!’ ”
8 Ngài phán: “Vì lòng dạ các ông chai đá, nên Môi-se đã cho phép ly dị vợ, chớ từ ban đầu không có như thế. 9 Ta nói cho các ông rõ: Trừ trường hợp vợ gian dâm, nếu ai ly dị vợ mà cưới người khác, người ấy phạm tội ngoại tình.”
10 Các môn đệ thưa: “Nếu chỉ có lý do đó để chồng bỏ vợ, thì thà đừng cưới vợ còn hơn.”
11 Nhưng Ngài đáp: “Không phải ai cũng nhận được điều này nhưng chỉ những người được Đức Chúa Trời ban ơn. 12 Có những người hoạn từ khi lọt lòng mẹ, có người hoạn bởi người ta và cũng có người tự hoạn lấy vì Nước Thiên Đàng. Ai có thể nhận được gì, thì hãy nhận.”

13 Lúc đó, người ta đem trẻ con đến để Chúa đặt tay cầu nguyện, nhưng các môn đệ quở trách họ.
14 Đức Giê-su phán: “Cứ để con trẻ đến cùng Ta, đừng ngăn cản chúng, vì Nước Thiên Đàng dành cho những người giống như con trẻ.” 15 Ngài đặt tay trên các em và rời khỏi nơi đó.

17 Ngài đáp: “Tại sao anh hỏi Ta về việc thiện? Chỉ có một Đấng Toàn Thiện mà thôi. Nếu muốn được sự sống ấy hãy giữ các điều răn.”
18 Người đó lại hỏi: “Những điều răn nào?” Đức Giê-su đáp: “Đừng giết người, đừng ngoại tình, đừng trộm cắp, và đừng làm chứng dối. 19 Hãy hiếu kính cha mẹ và yêu thương người lân cận như chính mình.”[c]
20 Chàng thanh niên ấy thưa: “Tôi đã giữ tất cả những điều răn này, còn thiếu điều nào nữa?”
21 Đức Giê-su bảo: “Nếu anh muốn được toàn hảo, hãy đi bán hết tài sản, đem cho người nghèo, anh sẽ có kho tàng trên trời, và hãy đến theo Ta.”
22 Nghe nói thế, chàng thanh niên buồn rầu bỏ đi vì có rất nhiều tài sản.
23 Bấy giờ, Đức Giê-su phán cùng các môn đệ của Ngài: “Thật, Ta bảo các con, người giàu thật khó vào Nước Thiên Đàng. 24 Ta cũng cho các con biết: Lạc đà chui qua lỗ kim còn dễ hơn người giàu vào Nước Đức Chúa Trời.”
25 Các môn đệ nghe thế vô cùng kinh ngạc, nên hỏi: “Thế thì ai có thể được cứu rỗi?”
26 Đức Giê-su nhìn các môn đệ phán: “Với loài người, việc này không ai làm nổi, nhưng với Đức Chúa Trời mọi việc đều được cả.”
27 Bấy giờ Phê-rơ lên tiếng thưa rằng: “Phần chúng con đã từ bỏ mọi sự để theo Thầy, chúng con sẽ được gì?”
28 Đức Giê-su phán cùng họ: “Thật, Ta bảo các con, trong kỳ tái tạo lại mọi sự, khi Con Người ngồi trên ngai vinh quang của Ngài, các con, những kẻ theo Ta, cũng sẽ ngồi trên mười hai ngai cai trị mười hai bộ tộc Y-sơ-ra-ên. 29 Và ai từ bỏ nhà cửa, anh em, chị em, cha mẹ, con cái, ruộng đất vì cớ danh ta sẽ được nhận gấp trăm lần hơn và thừa hưởng sự sống vĩnh phúc. 30 Nhưng nhiều người đang đứng đầu sẽ trở nên cuối, và những người cuối trở nên đầu.”
