Jesus talar om äktenskap och skilsmässa
(Mark 10:1-12)
19 När Jesus hade avslutat detta tal, lämnade han Galileen och gick mot Judeen och till andra sidan Jordan. 2 Stora folkmassor följde honom dit, och han botade dem.
3 Då kom några fariseer för att pröva Jesus. De frågade: ”Har en man[a] rätt att skilja sig från sin hustru av vilken orsak som helst?” 4 ”Har ni inte läst i Skriften?” svarade Jesus, ”att från början skapade Gud dem till man och kvinna,[b] och 5 att en man därför lämnar sin far och mor och håller sig till sin hustru, så att de två blir ett kött.[c] 6 De är alltså inte längre två utan en kropp. Och vad Gud har förenat, får människan inte skilja åt.”
7 Då frågade de: ”Varför bestämde då Mose att en man kan ge ett intyg om skilsmässan och skicka iväg kvinnan?”[d]
8 Jesus svarade: ”Mose tillät er att skiljas för era hårda hjärtans skull, men det var inte så från början. 9 Jag säger er att den som skiljer sig från sin hustru, utan att hon varit otrogen, och sedan gifter sig med en annan, han begår äktenskapsbrott.[e]”
10 Då sa hans lärjungar till honom: ”Om det är på det sättet, är det bättre att inte gifta sig alls.” 11 Men Jesus svarade: ”Alla kan inte ta till sig detta, utan bara de som fått den gåvan. 12 En del föds utan könsidentitet, andra har kastrerats av människor, och andra lever frivilligt i avhållsamhet och avstår från att gifta sig för himmelrikets skull. Den som kan ta till sig detta, ska göra det.”
Jesus ber för barnen
(Mark 10:13-16; Luk 18:15-17)
13 Sedan kom man till Jesus med barn för att han skulle lägga händerna på dem och be. Men hans lärjungar körde bort dem.
14 Då sa Jesus: ”Låt barnen komma till mig och hindra dem inte, för himmelriket tillhör sådana som de.” 15 Så lade han händerna på barnen. Sedan gick han därifrån.
Jesus talar med en rik ung man
(Mark 10:17-31; Luk 18:18-30)
16 En ung man kom nu och frågade Jesus: ”Mästare, vad ska jag göra för gott för att få evigt liv?”
17 ”Varför frågar du mig om vad som är gott?” svarade Jesus. ”Det finns bara en som är god. Men evigt liv kan du få om du håller buden.” 18 ”Vilka av buden?” frågade mannen. Jesus svarade: ” ’Du ska inte mörda, Du ska inte vara otrogen i ditt äktenskap, Du ska inte stjäla, Du ska inte vittna falskt, 19 Visa respekt för din far och mor, och Du ska älska din medmänniska som dig själv.’ ”[f]
20 ”Jag har hållit alla dessa”, svarade den unga mannen. ”Vad mer behöver jag göra?”
21 Jesus sa till honom: ”Om du vill bli fullkomlig, så gå och sälj allt du äger och ge pengarna till de fattiga. Då ska du få en skatt i himlen. Kom sedan och följ mig.”
22 Men när den unga mannen hörde detta gick han bedrövad därifrån, för han ägde mycket.
23 Då sa Jesus till sina lärjungar: ”Sannerligen säger jag er: det är svårt för en rik människa att komma in i himmelriket! 24 Ja, jag säger er att det är lättare för en kamel att komma igenom ett nålsöga än för en rik att komma in i Guds rike.”
25 Detta påstående gjorde hans lärjungar förskräckta, och de sa: ”Vem kan då bli räddad?” 26 Jesus såg på dem och sa: ”För människorna är det inte möjligt, men för Gud är allting möjligt.”
27 Då sa Petrus till honom: ”Vi har ju lämnat allt för att följa dig. Kommer vi att få något för det?”
28 ”Ja”, svarade Jesus. ”Sannerligen säger jag er: vid världens pånyttfödelse, när Människosonen sätter sig på sin härlighets tron, då ska också ni som har följt mig få sitta på tolv troner och döma Israels tolv stammar. 29 Var och en som har lämnat hus eller syskon eller föräldrar eller barn eller åkrar för min skull ska få hundrafalt igen och få evigt liv som arv. 30 Många som är sist ska bli först, och många som är först ska bli sist.

Divorce(A)
19 When Jesus had finished saying these things,(B) he left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan. 2 Large crowds followed him, and he healed them(C) there.
3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife(D) for any and every reason?”
4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a](E) 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]?(F) 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”(G)
8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”(H)
10 The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.”
11 Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.(I) 12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”
The Little Children and Jesus(J)
13 Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them(K) and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.
14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs(L) to such as these.”(M) 15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.
The Rich and the Kingdom of God(N)
16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life(O)?”(P)
17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”(Q)
18 “Which ones?” he inquired.
Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery,(R) you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’[c](S) and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’[d]”(T)
20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?”
21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect,(U) go, sell your possessions and give to the poor,(V) and you will have treasure in heaven.(W) Then come, follow me.”
22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich(X) to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”(Y)
27 Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you!(Z) What then will there be for us?”
28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne,(AA) you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.(AB) 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[e] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.(AC) 30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.(AD)

19 ये बातें कहने के बाद वह गलील से लौट कर यहूदिया के क्षेत्र में यर्दन नदी के पार चला गया। 2 एक बड़ी भीड़ वहाँ उसके पीछे हो ली, जिसे उसने चंगा किया।
3 उसे परखने के जतन में कुछ फ़रीसी उसके पास पहुँचे और बोले, “क्या यह उचित है कि कोई अपनी पत्नी को किसी भी कारण से तलाक दे सकता है?”
4 उत्तर देते हुए यीशु ने कहा, “क्या तुमने शास्त्र में नहीं पढ़ा कि जगत को रचने वाले ने प्रारम्भ में, ‘उन्हें एक स्त्री और एक पुरुष के रूप में रचा था?’(A) 5 और कहा था ‘इसी कारण अपने माता-पिता को छोड़ कर पुरुष अपनी पत्नी के साथ दो होते हुए भी एक शरीर होकर रहेगा।’(B) 6 सो वे दो नहीं रहते बल्कि एक रूप हो जाते हैं। इसलिए जिसे परमेश्वर ने जोड़ा है उसे किसी भी मनुष्य को अलग नहीं करना चाहिये।”
7 वे बोले, “फिर मूसा ने यह क्यों निर्धारित किया है कि कोई पुरुष अपनी पत्नी को तलाक दे सकता है। शर्त यह है कि वह उसे तलाक नामा लिख कर दे।”
8 यीशु ने उनसे कहा, “मूसा ने यह विधान तुम लोगों के मन की जड़ता के कारण दिया था। किन्तु प्रारम्भ में ऐसी रीति नहीं थी। 9 तो मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ कि जो व्यभिचार को छोड़कर अपनी पत्नी को किसी और कारण से त्यागता है और किसी दूसरी स्त्री को ब्याहता है तो वह व्यभिचार करता है।”
10 इस पर उसके शिष्यों ने उससे कहा, “यदि एक स्त्री और एक पुरुष के बीच ऐसी स्थिति है तो किसी को ब्याह ही नहीं करना चाहिये।”
11 फिर यीशु ने उनसे कहा, “हर कोई तो इस उपदेश को ग्रहण नहीं कर सकता। इसे बस वे ही ग्रहण कर सकते हैं जिनको इसकी क्षमता प्रदान की गयी है। 12 कुछ ऐसे हैं जो अपनी माँ के गर्भ से ही नपुंसक पैदा हुए हैं। और कुछ ऐसे हैं जो लोगों द्वारा नपुंसक बना दिये गये हैं। और अंत में कुछ ऐसे हैं जिन्होंने स्वर्ग के राज्य के कारण विवाह नहीं करने का निश्चय किया है। जो इस उपदेश को ले सकता है ले।”
यीशु की आशीष: बच्चों को

13 फिर लोग कुछ बालकों को यीशु के पास लाये कि वह उनके सिर पर हाथ रख कर उन्हें आशीर्वाद दे और उनके लिए प्रार्थना करे। किन्तु उसके शिष्यों ने उन्हें डाँटा। 14 इस पर यीशु ने कहा, “बच्चों को रहने दो, उन्हें मत रोको, मेरे पास आने दो क्योंकि स्वर्ग का राज्य ऐसों का ही है।” 15 फिर उसने बच्चों के सिर पर अपना हाथ रखा और वहाँ से चल दिया।
एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न

16 वहीं एक व्यक्ति था। वह यीशु के पास आया और बोला, “गुरु अनन्त जीवन पाने के लिए मुझे क्या अच्छा काम करना चाहिये?”
17 यीशु ने उससे कहा, “अच्छा क्या है, इसके बारे में तू मुझसे क्यों पूछ रहा है? क्योंकि अच्छा तो केवल एक ही है! फिर भी यदि तू अनन्त जीवन में प्रवेश करना चाहता है, तो तू आदेशों का पालन कर।”
18 उसने यीशु से पूछा, “कौन से आदेश?”
तब यीशु बोला, “हत्या मत कर। व्यभिचार मत कर। चोरी मत कर। झूठी गवाही मत दे। 19 ‘अपने पिता और अपनी माता का आदर कर’(C) और ‘जैसे तू अपने आप को प्यार करता है, वैसे ही अपने पड़ोसी से भी प्यार कर।’[a]”
20 युवक ने यीशु से पूछा, “मैंने इन सब बातों का पालन किया है। अब मुझ में किस बात की कमी है?”
21 यीशु ने उससे कहा, “यदि तू संपूर्ण बनना चाहता तो जा और जो कुछ तेरे पास है, उसे बेचकर धन गरीबों में बाँट दे ताकि स्वर्ग में तुझे धन मिल सके। फिर आ और मेरे पीछे हो ले!”
22 किन्तु जब उस नौजवान ने यह सुना तो वह दुःखी होकर चला गया क्योंकि वह बहुत धनवान था।
23 यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों से कहा, “मैं तुमसे सत्य कहता हूँ कि एक धनवान का स्वर्ग के राज्य में प्रवेश कर पाना कठिन है। 24 हाँ, मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ कि किसी धनवान व्यक्ति के स्वर्ग के राज्य में प्रवेश पाने से एक ऊँट का सूई के नकुए से निकल जाना आसान है।”
25 जब उसके शिष्यों ने यह सुना तो अचरज से भरकर पूछा, “फिर किस का उद्धार हो सकता है?”
26 यीशु ने उन्हें देखते हुए कहा, “मनुष्यों के लिए यह असम्भव है, किन्तु परमेश्वर के लिए सब कुछ सम्भव है।”
27 उत्तर में तब पतरस ने उससे कहा, “देख, हम सब कुछ त्याग कर तेरे पीछे हो लिये हैं। सो हमें क्या मिलेगा?”
28 यीशु ने उनसे कहा, “मैं तुम लोगों से सत्य कहता हूँ कि नये युग में जब मनुष्य का पुत्र अपने प्राप्त सिंहासन पर विराजेगा तो तुम भी, जो मेरे पीछे हो लिये हो, बारह सिंहासनों पर बैठकर परमेश्वर के लोगों का न्याय करोगे। 29 और मेरे लिए जिसने भी घर-बार या भाईयों या बहनों या पिता या माता या बच्चों या खेतों को त्याग दिया है, वह सौ गुणा अधिक पायेगा और अनन्त जीवन का भी अधिकारी बनेगा। 30 किन्तु बहुत से जो अब पहले हैं, अन्तिम हो जायेंगे और जो अन्तिम हैं, पहले हो जायेंगे।”

2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
