Il discorso profetico di Gesú, 24-25
Distruzione di Gerusalemme e venuta del Figlio dell'uomo
24 (A)Mentre Gesú usciva dal *tempio e se ne andava, i suoi discepoli gli si avvicinarono per fargli osser- vare gli edifici del tempio. 2 Ma egli rispose loro: «Vedete tutte queste cose? Io vi dico in verità: Non sarà lasciata qui pietra su pietra che non sia diroccata».
3 Mentre egli era seduto sul *monte degli Ulivi, i discepoli gli si avvicinarono in disparte, dicendo: «Dicci, quando avverranno queste cose e quale sarà il segno della tua venuta e della fine dell'età presente?»
4 Gesú rispose loro: «Guardate che nessuno vi seduca. 5 Poiché molti verranno nel mio nome, dicendo: “Io sono il Cristo”. E ne sedurranno molti. 6 Voi udrete parlare di guerre e di rumori di guerre; guardate di non turbarvi, infatti bisogna che questo avvenga, ma non sarà ancora la fine. 7 Perché insorgerà nazione contro nazione e regno contro regno; ci saranno carestie e terremoti in vari luoghi; 8 ma tutto questo non sarà che principio di dolori. 9 Allora vi abbandoneranno all'oppressione e vi uccideranno e sarete odiati da tutte le genti a motivo del mio nome. 10 Allora molti si svieranno, si tradiranno e si odieranno a vicenda. 11 Molti falsi *profeti sorgeranno e sedurranno molti. 12 Poiché l'*iniquità aumenterà, l'amore dei piú si raffredderà. 13 Ma chi avrà perseverato sino alla fine sarà salvato. 14 E questo vangelo del regno sarà predicato in tutto il mondo, affinché ne sia resa testimonianza a tutte le genti; allora verrà la fine.
15 (B)«Quando dunque vedrete l'abominazione della desolazione, della quale ha parlato il profeta *Daniele, posta in luogo santo (chi legge faccia attenzione! ), 16 allora quelli che saranno nella *Giudea, fuggano ai monti; 17 chi sarà sulla *terrazza non scenda per prendere quello che è in casa sua; 18 e chi sarà nel campo non torni indietro a prendere la sua veste. 19 Guai alle donne che saranno incinte e a quelle che allatteranno in quei giorni! 20 Pregate che la vostra fuga non avvenga d'inverno né di sabato; 21 perché allora vi sarà una grande tribolazione, quale non v'è stata dal principio del mondo fino ad ora, né mai piú vi sarà. 22 Se quei giorni non fossero stati abbreviati, nessuno[a] scamperebbe; ma, a motivo degli eletti, quei giorni saranno abbreviati. 23 Allora, se qualcuno vi dice: “Il Cristo è qui”, oppure: “È là”, non lo credete; 24 perché sorgeranno falsi cristi e falsi profeti, e faranno grandi segni e prodigi da sedurre, se fosse possibile, anche gli eletti. 25 Ecco, ve l'ho predetto. 26 Se dunque vi dicono: “Eccolo, è nel deserto”, non v'andate; “eccolo, è nelle stanze interne”, non lo credete; 27 infatti, come il lampo esce da levante e si vede fino a ponente, cosí sarà la venuta del *Figlio dell'uomo. 28 Dovunque sarà il cadavere, lí si raduneranno le aquile.
29 Subito dopo la tribolazione di quei giorni, il sole si oscurerà, la luna non darà piú il suo splendore, le stelle cadranno dal cielo e le potenze dei cieli saranno scrollate. 30 Allora apparirà nel cielo il segno del Figlio dell'uomo; e allora tutte le tribú della terra faranno cordoglio e vedranno il Figlio dell'uomo venire sulle nuvole del cielo con gran potenza e gloria. 31 E manderà i suoi angeli con gran suono di tromba per riunire i suoi eletti dai quattro venti, da un capo all'altro dei cieli. 32 Imparate dal fico questa similitudine: quando già i suoi rami si fanno teneri e mettono le foglie, voi sapete che l'estate è vicina. 33 Cosí anche voi, quando vedrete tutte queste cose, sappiate che egli è vicino, proprio alle porte. 34 Io vi dico in verità che questa generazione[b] non passerà prima che tutte queste cose siano avvenute. 35 Il cielo e la terra passeranno, ma le mie parole non passeranno.
Esortazione alla vigilanza
36 (C)«Ma quanto a quel giorno e a quell'ora nessuno li sa, neppure gli angeli del cielo, neppure il Figlio, ma il Padre solo. 37 Come fu ai giorni di *Noè, cosí sarà alla venuta del Figlio dell'uomo. 38 Infatti, come nei giorni prima del diluvio si mangiava e si beveva, si prendeva moglie e s'andava a marito, fino al giorno in cui Noè entrò nell'arca, 39 e la gente non si accorse di nulla, finché venne il diluvio che portò via tutti quanti, cosí avverrà alla venuta del Figlio dell'uomo. 40 Allora due saranno nel campo; l'uno sarà preso e l'altro lasciato; 41 due donne macineranno al *mulino: l'una sarà presa e l'altra lasciata. 42 Vegliate, dunque, perché non sapete in quale giorno il vostro Signore verrà. 43 Ma sappiate questo, che se il padrone di casa sapesse a quale *ora[c] della notte il ladro deve venire, veglierebbe e non lascerebbe scassinare la sua casa. 44 Perciò, anche voi siate pronti; perché, nell'ora che non pensate, il Figlio dell'uomo verrà.
45 Qual è mai il servo fedele e prudente che il padrone ha costituito sui domestici per dare loro il vitto a suo tempo? 46 Beato quel servo che il padrone, arrivando, troverà cosí occupato! 47 Io vi dico in verità che lo costituirà su tutti i suoi beni. 48 Ma, se egli è un servo malvagio che dice in cuor suo: “Il mio padrone tarda a venire”; 49 e comincia a battere i suoi conservi, a mangiare e bere con gli ubriaconi, 50 il padrone di quel servo verrà nel giorno che non se l'aspetta, nell'ora che non sa, 51 e lo farà punire a colpi di flagello e gli assegnerà la sorte degli ipocriti. Lí sarà il pianto e lo stridor dei denti.

預言聖殿被毀
24 耶穌離開聖殿時，門徒上前把宏偉的聖殿指給祂看。 2 耶穌對他們說：「你們看見這殿宇了嗎？我實在告訴你們，將來它要被完全拆毀，在這裡找不到兩塊疊在一起的石頭。」
世界末日的預兆
3 耶穌正坐在橄欖山上，門徒私下來問祂：「請告訴我們，這事什麼時候會發生？你再來和世界末日的時候會有什麼預兆？」
4 耶穌回答說：「你們要小心，免得被人迷惑。 5 因為將來會有許多人冒我的名而來，說『我是基督』，欺騙許多人。 6 你們聽見戰爭爆發、戰訊頻傳時，不要驚慌，因為這些事必然發生，只是末日還沒有到。 7 民族將與民族互鬥，國家將與國家相爭，各處將有饑荒和地震。 8 這些只是災難[a]的開始。
9 「那時，你們將遭人迫害、殺害，並因我的名而被萬民憎恨。 10 那時，許多人會放棄信仰，互相出賣，彼此憎恨。 11 許多假先知也會出現，迷惑許多人。 12 由於罪惡氾濫，許多人的愛逐漸冷淡。 13 但堅忍到底的必定得救。 14 這天國的福音將傳遍天下，讓萬民都聽見，然後末日才會來臨。

23 「那時，如果有人對你們說，『看啊！基督在這裡』，或說，『基督在那裡』，你們不要相信。 24 因為假基督和假先知將出現，行很大的神蹟奇事來迷惑人，如果可能，甚至要迷惑上帝揀選的子民。 25 你們要記住，我已經預先告訴你們了。
26 「因此，如果有人對你們說，『看啊！基督在曠野』，你們不要出去；或者說，『看啊！基督在屋裡』，你們也不要相信。 27 人子降臨時的情形就像閃電從東方發出一直照到西方。 28 屍體在哪裡，禿鷹就會聚集在哪裡。
29 「當災難的日子一過，
『太陽變黑，
月亮無光，
眾星隕落，
天體震動。』
30 「那時，天上會出現人子降臨的預兆，地上的萬族都要哀哭，他們將看見人子帶著能力和極大的榮耀駕著天上的雲降臨。 31 在響亮的號聲中，祂將差遣天使從四面八方、天涯海角招聚祂揀選的人。
無花果樹的比喻
32 「你們可以從無花果樹學個道理。當無花果樹發芽長葉的時候，你們就知道夏天快來了。 33 同樣，當你們看見這一切事發生時，就知道人子快來了，就在門口。 34 我實在告訴你們，這個世代還沒有過去，這一切都要發生。 35 天地都要過去，但我的話永遠長存。
警醒準備
36 「但沒有人知道那日子和時辰何時來到，連天上的天使也不知道，人子[b]也不知道，只有天父知道。 37 人子降臨時的情形就像挪亞的時代。 38 洪水來臨之前，人們吃吃喝喝，男婚女嫁，一直到挪亞進方舟那天； 39 他們懵然不知，直到洪水來把他們全沖走了。人子降臨時的情形也是這樣。 40 那時，兩個人在田裡，一個將被接去，一個將被撇下； 41 兩個婦人推磨，一個將被接去，一個將被撇下。 42 所以，你們要警醒，因為你們不知道你們的主會在哪一天來。 43 你們都知道，如果一家的主人知道賊會在半夜幾點來，就必警醒，不讓賊入屋偷竊。 44 同樣，你們也要做好準備，因為在你們意想不到的時候，人子就來了。
兩種奴僕
45 「誰是那個受主人委託管理家中大小僕役、按時分糧食給他們、又忠心又精明的奴僕呢？ 46 主人回家時，看見他盡忠職守，他就有福了。 47 我實在告訴你們，主人一定會把所有產業都交給他管理。 48 但如果奴僕邪惡，以為主人不會那麼快回來， 49 就毆打同伴，跟醉漢一起吃喝玩樂， 50 主人會在他想不到的日子、不知道的時辰回來， 51 嚴厲地懲罰[c]他，判他和偽君子同樣的罪。他必在那裡哀哭切齒。

24 Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. 2 But he answered them, “You see all of these things, don’t you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.”
3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places. 8 But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to oppression and will kill you. You will be hated by all of the nations for my name’s sake. 10 Then many will stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and will lead many astray. 12 Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end will be saved. 14 This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
15 “When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation,(A) which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out the things that are in his house. 18 Let him who is in the field not return back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are with child and to nursing mothers in those days! 20 Pray that your flight will not be in the winter nor on a Sabbath, 21 for then there will be great suffering,[a] such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be. 22 Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.
23 “Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There!’ don’t believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
25 “Behold, I have told you beforehand.
26 “If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; or ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it. 27 For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, that is where the vultures[b] gather together.
29 “But immediately after the suffering[c] of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;(B) 30 and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
32 “Now from the fig tree learn this parable: When its branch has now become tender and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near. 33 Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that he is near, even at the doors. 34 Most certainly I tell you, this generation[d] will not pass away until all these things are accomplished. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
36 “But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven,[e] but my Father only. 37 As the days of Noah were, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, 39 and they didn’t know until the flood came and took them all away, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and one will be left. 42 Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds doing so when he comes. 47 Most certainly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has. 48 But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My lord is delaying his coming,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn’t expect it and in an hour when he doesn’t know it, 51 and will cut him in pieces and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. That is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.

Signs of Christ’s Return
24 (A)Jesus (B)left the temple area and was going on His way [a]when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. 2 But He responded and said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, (C)not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.”
3 And as He was sitting on (D)the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of (E)Your coming, and of the [b]end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them, “(F)See to it that no one [c]misleads you. 5 For (G)many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the [d]Christ,’ and they will [e]mislead many people. 6 And you will be hearing of (H)wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. 7 For (I)nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be (J)famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 (K)But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains.
9 “(L)Then they will hand you over to tribulation and kill you, and (M)you will be hated by all nations because of My name. 10 And at that time many will [f](N)fall away, and they will [g]betray one another and hate one another. 11 And many (O)false prophets will rise up and [h]mislead many people. 12 And because lawlessness is increased, [i]most people’s love will become cold. 13 (P)But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved. 14 This (Q)gospel of the kingdom (R)shall be preached in the whole [j](S)world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Perilous Times
15 “Therefore when you see the (T)abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in (U)the holy place—[k](V)let the [l]reader understand— 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 [m]Whoever is on (W)the [n]housetop must not go down to get things out of his house. 18 And [o]whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 But (X)woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 Moreover, pray that [p]when you flee, it will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be a (Y)great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no [q]life would have been saved; but for (Z)the sake of the [r]elect those days will be cut short. 23 (AA)Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the [s]Christ,’ or ‘He is over here,’ do not believe him. 24 For false christs and (AB)false prophets will arise and will provide great [t](AC)signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even (AD)the [u]elect. 25 Behold, I have told you in advance. 26 So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. 27 (AE)For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will the (AF)coming of the (AG)Son of Man [v]be. 28 (AH)Wherever the corpse is, there the [w]vultures will gather.
The Glorious Return
29 “But immediately after the (AI)tribulation of those days (AJ)the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and (AK)the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then (AL)the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see (AM)the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 And (AN)He will send forth His angels with (AO)a great trumpet blast, and they will gather together His [x](AP)elect from (AQ)the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
Parable of the Fig Tree
32 “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: as soon as its branch has become tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near; 33 so you too, when you see all these things, [y]recognize that [z]He is near, right (AR)at the [aa]door. 34 Truly I say to you, (AS)this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 35 (AT)Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
36 “But (AU)about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37 For [ab]the (AV)coming of the Son of Man will be (AW)just like the days of Noah. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, (AX)marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that (AY)Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not [ac]understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the (AZ)coming of the Son of Man be. 40 At that time there will be two men in the field; one [ad]will be taken and one [ae]will be left. 41 (BA)Two women will be grinding at the [af](BB)mill; one [ag]will be taken and one [ah]will be left.
Be Ready for His Coming
42 “Therefore (BC)be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. 43 But [ai]be sure of this, that (BD)if the head of the house had known (BE)at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 44 For this reason (BF)you must be ready as well; for (BG)the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.
45 “(BH)Who then is the (BI)faithful and (BJ)sensible slave whom his [aj]master (BK)put in charge of his household slaves, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Blessed is that slave whom his [ak]master finds so doing when he comes. 47 Truly I say to you that (BL)he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But if that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My [al]master [am]is not coming for a long time,’ 49 and he begins to beat his fellow slaves, and he eats and drinks with those habitually drunk; 50 then the [an]master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know, 51 and he will [ao]cut him in two and assign [ap]him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be (BM)weeping and gnashing of teeth.
