Matthew 27:60

New English Translation

⁶⁰and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut in the rock.^[a] Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance^[b] of the tomb and went away.

Matthew 27:60 tn That is, cut or carved into an outcropping of natural rock, resulting in a cave-like structure (see L&N 19.25).

⁶⁰and placed it in his own new tomb^(A) that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.

⁶⁰And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
