O governador Pilatos interroga Jesus

(Mc 15.2-5; Lc 23.3-5; Jo 18.33-38)

11 Jesus estava de pé, diante do governador, e este lhe interrogou, dizendo:

—Você é o rei dos judeus?

Ao que Jesus lhe respondeu:

—Você está dizendo isso.

12 E, mesmo sendo acusado pelos líderes dos sacerdotes e pelos líderes, Jesus não respondia nada. 13 Pilatos, então, lhe perguntou:

—Não está ouvindo todas as acusações que estão sendo feitas contra você?

14 Jesus, porém, não respondeu nada e isso impressionou muito o governador.

Jesus Before Pilate(A)

11 Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”(B)

“You have said so,” Jesus replied.

12 When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer.(C) 13 Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?”(D) 14 But Jesus made no reply,(E) not even to a single charge—to the great amazement of the governor.
