Исус предсказва отричането на Петър

(Мк. 14:27-31; Лк. 22:31-34; Йн. 13:36-38)

31 Исус каза на учениците: „Заради това, което ще ми се случи, тази нощ всички вие ще се разбягате и ще ме изоставите, защото Писанието казва:

„Ще убия овчаря
    и овцете ще се разбягат.“(A)

32 Но след като бъда възкресен, ще отида в Галилея преди вас.“

33 Петър каза: „Дори всички останали да те изоставят заради това, което ще ти се случи, аз никога няма да те изоставя.“

34 Исус отвърна: „Истина ти казвам: тази нощ, преди да пропее петелът, три пъти ще си се отрекъл от мен.“

35 Но Петър му каза: „Никога няма да се отрека от теб, дори ако трябва да умра заедно с теб.“ Същото заявиха и всички останали ученици.

31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

32 But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

33 Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

34 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

35 Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial(A)

31 Then Jesus said to them, (B)“All of you will (C)be [a]made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written:

(D)‘I will strike the Shepherd,
And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

32 But after I have been raised, (E)I will go before you to Galilee.”

33 Peter answered and said to Him, “Even if all are [b]made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.”

34 Jesus said to him, (F)“Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

35 Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!”

And so said all the disciples.
