¹⁵ He said to them, “But who do ^(A)you say that I am?”

¹⁶ Simon Peter answered and said, ^(B)“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

¹⁷ Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, ^(C)for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but ^(D)My Father who is in heaven. ¹⁸ And I also say to you that ^(E)you are Peter, and ^(F)on this rock I will build My church, and ^(G)the gates of Hades shall not ^[a]prevail against it. ^19 (H)And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth ^[b]will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

^19 (A)Go ^[a]therefore and ^(B)make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ^20 (C)teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am ^(D)with you always, even to the end of the age.” ^[b]Amen.

^8 (A)But you shall receive power ^(B)when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and ^(C)you shall be ^[a]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and ^(D)Samaria, and to the ^(E)end of the earth.”

⁴¹ Then those who ^[a]gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. ^42 (A)And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ ^[b]doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

⁴⁷ praising God and having favor with all the people. And ^(A)the Lord added ^[a]to the church daily those who were being saved.

Unity and Diversity in One Body^(A)

¹² For ^(B)as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, ^(C)so also is Christ. ¹³ For ^(D)by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—^(E)whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and ^(F)have all been made to drink ^[a]into one Spirit.

^25 (A)not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and ^(B)so much the more as you see ^(C)the Day approaching.
