⁶ But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

⁵ For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’?

¹⁰ Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For ^[a]if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,

²¹ So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! ^(A)As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” ²² And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. ^23 (B)If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

²¹ For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, ^(A)even so the Son gives life to whom He will. ²² For the Father judges no one, but ^(B)has committed all judgment to the Son, ²³ that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. ^(C)He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

^13 (A)bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

³² And ^(A)be kind to one another, tenderhearted, ^(B)forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

²⁰ Now then, we are ^(A)ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

³⁴ And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, ^(A)Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.” Then he arose immediately.
