Jesus Heals Two Blind Men

^27 (A)And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, ^(B)Son of David.”

²² And behold, ^(A)a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, ^(B)“Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.”

³⁰ And behold, there were two blind men sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Lord,^[a] have mercy on us, ^(A)Son of David!” ³¹ The crowd ^(B)rebuked them, telling them to be silent, but they cried out all the more, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”

Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus

^46 (A)And they came to Jericho. And ^(B)as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, ^(C)a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. ⁴⁷ And when he heard that it was ^(D)Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” ⁴⁸ And many ^(E)rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

³⁸ And he cried out, “Jesus, ^(A)Son of David, have mercy on me!” ³⁹ And those who were in front ^(B)rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

^5 (A)the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers^[a] are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and ^(B)the poor have good news preached to them.

¹⁵ said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he has ^(A)seizures and he suffers terribly. For often he falls into the fire, and often into the water.

Whose Son Is the Christ?

^41 (A)Now while the Pharisees ^(B)were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question, ⁴² saying, “What do you think about ^(C)the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, ^(D)“The son of David.” ⁴³ He said to them, “How is it then that David, ^(E)in the Spirit, calls him Lord, saying,

⁴⁵ If then David calls him Lord, ^(G)how is he his son?”

⁴² Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes ^(A)from the offspring of David, and comes ^(B)from Bethlehem, the village ^(C)where David was?”
