⁸ The centurion answered and said, “Lord, ^(A)I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only ^(B)speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

⁶ Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof. ⁷ Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But ^(A)say the word, and my servant will be healed.

²⁵ But Jesus ^(A)rebuked him, saying, ^[a]“Be quiet, and come out of him!” ²⁶ And when the unclean spirit ^(B)had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. ²⁷ Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, ^[b]“What is this? What new ^[c]doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

³ Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy ^(A)was cleansed.

^27 (A)It is He who, coming after me, ^[a]is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”

²⁶ But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little ^(A)dogs.”

²⁷ And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”

⁸ When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, ^(A)“Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”

^11 (A)I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. ^(B)He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit ^[a]and fire.
