³⁴ And behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him, ^(A)they begged him to leave their region.

³⁹ So they came and apologized to them. And they took them out and ^(A)asked them to leave the city.

⁸ But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, ^(A)“Depart from me, for ^(B)I am a sinful man, O Lord.”

³⁷ Then all the people of the surrounding country of the Gerasenes ^(A)asked him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. So he got into the boat and returned. ³⁸ The man from whom the demons had gone begged that he might be with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, ³⁹ “Return to your home, and ^(B)declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.

¹⁷ And ^(A)they began to beg Jesus^[a] to depart from their region. ¹⁸ As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons begged him that he might be with him.

¹⁸ And she said to Elijah, ^(A)“What have you against me, O ^(B)man of God? You have come to me to bring my sin to remembrance and to cause the death of my son!”

²⁸ When he saw Jesus, he ^(A)cried out and fell down before him and said ^(B)with a loud voice, “What have you to do with me, Jesus, ^(C)Son of ^(D)the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me.”

²⁹ And behold, they ^(A)cried out, “What have you to do with us, ^(B)O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us ^(C)before the time?”
