^21 (A)Then another of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, ^(B)let me first go and bury my father.”

^59 (A)Then He said to another, “Follow Me.”

But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

⁶⁰ Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.”

⁶¹ And another also said, “Lord, ^(B)I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.”

⁶² But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is ^(C)fit for the kingdom of God.”

⁶ All the days that he separates himself to the Lord ^(A)he shall not go near a dead body. ^7 (B)He shall not ^[a]make himself unclean even for his father or his mother, for his brother or his sister, when they die, because his separation to God is on his head.

¹¹ nor shall he go ^(A)near any dead body, nor defile himself for his father or his mother; ^12 (B)nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the ^(C)consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the Lord.

^29 (A)And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother ^[a]or wife or children or ^[b]lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

²⁰ And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, ^(A)“Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.”

And he said to him, “Go back again, for what have I done to you?”

²¹ So Elisha turned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen and slaughtered them and ^(B)boiled their flesh, using the oxen’s equipment, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and followed Elijah, and became his servant.

² “Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.” ’ ”

^16 (A)Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, ^(B)yet now we know Him thus no longer.
