²⁸ And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that ^(A)the people were astonished at His teaching,

³² And they were ^(A)astonished at His teaching, ^(B)for His word was with authority.

^22 (A)And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

⁴⁶ The officers answered, ^(A)“No man ever spoke like this Man!”

² And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were ^(A)astonished, saying, ^(B)“Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands!

²² So all bore witness to Him, and ^(A)marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, ^(B)“Is this not Joseph’s son?”

^15 (A)And the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?”

³³ And when the multitudes heard this, ^(A)they were astonished at His teaching.

Jesus Rejected at Nazareth^(A)

⁵³ Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, that He departed from there. ^54 (B)When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works?

⁴⁸ and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to ^(A)hear Him.
