³ But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

³⁰ and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.”^(A)

⁴ No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.”

⁴⁴ “See that you don’t tell this to anyone.^(A) But go, show yourself to the priest^(B) and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing,^(C) as a testimony to them.”
