⁴⁷ And if you greet your ^[a]brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the ^[b]tax collectors do so?

²⁰ For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds ^(A)the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

^32 (A)“But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.

²⁰ For ^(A)what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.

^4 (A)Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and ^(B)greet no one along the road. ^5 (C)But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’
