Do Not Love the World

^15 (A)Do not love the world or the things in the world. ^(B)If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ¹⁶ For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, ^(C)the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

²⁶ For what ^(A)profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or ^(B)what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

Seventh Trumpet: The Kingdom Proclaimed

¹⁵ Then ^(A)the seventh angel sounded: ^(B)And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ^(C)“The ^[a]kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, ^(D)and He shall reign forever and ever!”

^5 [a]Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. ⁶ And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for ^(A)this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. ⁷ Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”

²⁴ By faith ^(A)Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, ²⁵ choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the ^[a]passing pleasures of sin, ²⁶ esteeming ^(B)the ^[b]reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures ^[c]in Egypt; for he looked to the ^(C)reward.
