⁵ Then the devil took Him up ^(A)into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,

^9 (A)Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.

² But leave out ^(A)the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, ^(B)for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will ^(C)tread the holy city underfoot for ^(D)forty-two months.

⁵³ and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

The People Dwelling in Jerusalem

11 Now the leaders of the people dwelt at Jerusalem; the rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of ten to dwell in Jerusalem, ^(A)the holy city, and nine-tenths were to dwell in other cities.

¹¹ Jesus answered, ^(A)“You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore ^(B)the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”
