²⁴ News about him spread all over Syria,^(A) and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed,^(B) those having seizures,^(C) and the paralyzed;^(D) and he healed them.

¹⁵ “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures^(A) and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water.

⁶ “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed,^(A) suffering terribly.”

¹⁵ Yet the news about him spread all the more,^(A) so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses.

¹⁸ Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment.

²² A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David,^(A) have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”^(B)

Jesus and Beelzebul^(A)

²² Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.^(B)

²³ With them they sent the following letter:

³⁸ how God anointed^(A) Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing^(B) all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.^(C)
