⁴² “He saved others; he cannot save himself.^[a] He is the King of Israel; let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.^(A)

⁴⁹ Nathanael replied, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”^(A)

³⁷ Over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”

¹⁴ When they saw the man who had been cured standing beside them, they had nothing to say in opposition.

⁴⁷ I do not judge anyone who hears my words and does not keep them, for I came not to judge the world but to save the world.^(A)

¹³ So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting,

²⁴ So for the second time they called the man who had been blind, and they said to him, “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.”^(A)

³⁸ saying,

² asking, “Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews? For we observed his star in the east^[a] and have come to pay him homage.”^(A)
