⁴² “He saved others,” they scoffed, “but he can’t save himself! So he is the King of Israel, is he? Let him come down from the cross right now, and we will believe in him!

⁴⁹ Then Nathanael exclaimed, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God—the King of Israel!”

³⁷ A sign was fastened above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against him. It read: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”

¹⁴ But since they could see the man who had been healed standing right there among them, there was nothing the council could say.

⁴⁷ I will not judge those who hear me but don’t obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it.

¹³ took palm branches and went down the road to meet him. They shouted,

²⁴ So for the second time they called in the man who had been blind and told him, “God should get the glory for this,^[a] because we know this man Jesus is a sinner.”

² “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose,^[a] and we have come to worship him.”
