⁴² “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel!^(A) Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe^(B) in him.

⁴⁹ Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi,^(A) you are the Son of God;^(B) you are the king of Israel.”^(C)

³⁷ Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.

¹⁴ But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say.

⁴⁷ “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.^(A)

¹³ They took palm branches^(A) and went out to meet him, shouting,

²⁴ A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,”^(A) they said. “We know this man is a sinner.”^(B)

² and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?^(A) We saw his star^(B) when it rose and have come to worship him.”
