⁴¹ In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking him, saying,

³⁵ And the people stood by watching, but the leaders scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Messiah^[a] of God, his chosen one!”^(A)

⁵² Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple police, and the elders who had come for him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as though I were a rebel?^(A)

³² For he will be handed over to the gentiles, and he will be mocked and insulted and spat upon.^(A)

³¹ In the same way the chief priests, along with the scribes, were also mocking him among themselves and saying, “He saved others; he cannot save himself.^{(A) 32} Let the Messiah,^[a] the King of Israel, come down from the cross now, so that we may see and believe.” Those who were crucified with him also taunted him.^(B)

⁸ In one month I disposed of the three shepherds, for I had become impatient with them, and they also detested me.^(A)
