3 Atunci lui Iuda, trădătorul, când a văzut că Isus a fost condamnat, i-a părut rău şi a dus înapoi cei treizeci de arginţi[a] la conducătorii preoţilor şi la bătrâni, 4 zicând:
– Am păcătuit, căci am trădat sânge nevinovat!
Ei i-au răspuns:
– Ce ne pasă nouă? Treaba ta!
5 El a aruncat arginţii în Templu şi a plecat. Apoi s-a dus şi s-a spânzurat.

3 When Judas, who had betrayed him,(A) saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver(B) to the chief priests and the elders. 4 “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”
“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”(C)
5 So Judas threw the money into the temple(D) and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.(E)
