²⁶ Then he released Barabbas to them; and when ^(A)he had ^[a]scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.

The Soldiers Mock Jesus^(A)

19 So then ^(B)Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him.

^15 (A)So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be ^(B)crucified.

^16 (A)I will therefore chastise Him and release Him”

^24 (A)who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, ^(B)that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—^(C)by whose ^[a]stripes you were healed.

²⁴ So ^(A)Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested. ^25 (B)And he released ^[a]to them the one they requested, who for rebellion and murder had been thrown into prison; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

³⁴ and they will mock Him, and ^[a]scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.”

^19 (A)and deliver Him to the Gentiles to ^(B)mock and to ^(C)scourge and to ^(D)crucify. And the third day He will ^(E)rise again.”
