²² And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, “Lord, is it I?”

²² Then the disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom He spoke.

²³ Now ^(A)there was ^[a]leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. ²⁴ Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke.

²⁵ Then, leaning ^[b]back on Jesus’ breast, he said to Him, “Lord, who is it?”

^23 (A)Then they began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.

¹⁹ And they began to be sorrowful, and to say to Him one by one, “Is it I?” ^[a]And another said, “Is it I?”

²⁰ He answered and said to them, “It is one of the twelve, who dips with Me in the dish.

¹⁷ He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of ^[a]Jonah, do you ^[b]love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”

And he said to Him, “Lord, ^(A)You know all things; You know that I love You.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.
