¹⁹ Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.^(A) So be earnest and repent.^{(B) 20} Here I am! I stand at the door^(C) and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,^(D) I will come in^(E) and eat with that person, and they with me.

⁴ Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.^{(A) 5} Consider how far you have fallen! Repent^(B) and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand^(C) from its place.

² Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.
