³⁶ I was ^(A)naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; ^(B)I was in prison and you came to Me.’

^27 (A)Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: ^(B)to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, ^(C)and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

¹⁴ Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, ^(A)anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. ^(B)And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

¹⁶ The Lord grant mercy to the ^(A)household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain; ¹⁷ but when he arrived in Rome, he sought me out very zealously and found me. ¹⁸ The Lord ^(B)grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord ^(C)in that Day—and you know very well how many ways he ^(D)ministered ^[a]to me at Ephesus.

Faith Without Works Is Dead^(A)

^14 (B)What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? ^15 (C)If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, ¹⁶ and ^(D)one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

^3 (A)Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.

³⁴ for you had compassion on ^[a]me ^(A)in my chains, and ^(B)joyfully accepted the plundering of your ^[b]goods, knowing that ^(C)you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves ^[c]in heaven.

³⁵ I have shown you in every way, ^(A)by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

Philippian Generosity

¹⁰ But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last ^(A)your^[a] care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. ¹¹ Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, ^(B)to be content: ^12 (C)I know how to ^[b]be abased, and I know how to ^[c]abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. ¹³ I can do all things ^(D)through ^[d]Christ who strengthens me.

¹⁴ Nevertheless you have done well that ^(E)you shared in my distress.
