¹² But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, ^(A)I do not know you.’

¹⁹ Nevertheless ^(A)the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord ^(B)knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of ^[a]Christ depart from iniquity.”

²⁶ then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ ^27 (A)But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. ^(B)Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ ^28 (C)There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, ^(D)when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. ²⁹ They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. ^30 (E)And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.”

³ But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him.

^27 (A)My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

³¹ Now we know that ^(A)God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.

⁹ But now ^(A)after you have known God, or rather are known by God, ^(B)how is it that you turn again to ^(C)the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?
