¹⁷ Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.

³¹ “In that day, he ^(A)who is on the housetop, and his ^[a]goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. ^32 (B)Remember Lot’s wife. ^33 (C)Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

¹⁵ Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house. ¹⁶ And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

Jesus Teaches the Fear of God^(A)

²⁷ “Whatever I tell you in the dark, ^(B)speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.

Peter’s Vision

⁹ The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, ^(A)Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about ^[a]the sixth hour.

³ Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.

¹⁹ And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst ^(A)before Jesus.

Do Not Worry^(A)

²⁵ “Therefore I say to you, ^(B)do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
