¹⁵ “So when you see standing in the holy place^(A) ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’^[a](B) spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—

¹⁶ then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

² Many nations will come and say,

³² Remember Lot’s wife!^{(A) 33} Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.^{(B) 34} I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. ³⁵ Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”^{(C) [36] [a]}

³⁷ “Where, Lord?” they asked.

He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”^(D)

⁵ so in Christ we, though many, form one body,^(A) and each member belongs to all the others.
