¹⁷ You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the sanctuary that has made the gold sacred?^(A)

¹⁹ How blind you are! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?^(A)

³⁸ For the censers of these sinners have become holy at the cost of their lives. Make them into hammered plates as a covering for the altar, for they presented them before the Lord and they became holy. Thus they shall be a sign to the Israelites.”^{(A) 39} So Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers that had been presented by those who were burned, and they were hammered out as a covering for the altar—

²⁶ With it you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the covenant^{(A) 27} and the table and all its utensils and the lampstand and its utensils and the altar of incense ²⁸ and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the basin with its stand; ²⁹ you shall consecrate them, so that they may be most holy; whatever touches them will become holy.^(B)
