^11 (A)The greatest among you shall be your servant.

¹⁹ For ^(A)though I am free from all, ^(B)I have made myself a servant to all, that I might ^(C)win more of them.

¹⁴ If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, ^(A)you also ought to wash one another's feet. ¹⁵ For I have given you an example, ^(B)that you also should do just as I have done to you.

⁴³ But ^(A)it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,^{[a] 44} and whoever would be first among you must be ^(B)slave^[b] of all.

¹³ For you were called to freedom, brothers. ^(A)Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love ^(B)serve one another.

⁵ For what ^(A)we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ^(B)ourselves as your servants^[a] for Jesus' sake.

^26 (A)But not so with you. Rather, let ^(B)the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. ²⁷ For who is the greater, ^(C)one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But ^(D)I am among you as the one who serves.

^5 (A)Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,^{[a] 6 (B)}who, though he was in ^(C)the form of God, did not count equality with God ^(D)a thing to be grasped,^{[b] 7} but ^(E)emptied himself, by taking the form of a ^(F)servant,^{[c] (G)}being born in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in human form, he humbled himself by ^(H)becoming obedient to the point of death, ^(I)even death on a cross.

^26 (A)It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,^{[a] 27} and whoever would be first among you must be your slave,^[b]
