^46 (A)And no one was able to answer Him a word, ^(B)nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him anymore.

³⁴ Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”

^(A)But after that no one dared question Him.

⁴⁰ But after that they dared not question Him anymore.

⁶ And they could not answer Him regarding these things.

¹⁴ And seeing the man who had been healed ^(A)standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

⁷ So when they continued asking Him, He ^[a]raised Himself up and said to them, ^(A)“He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” ⁸ And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. ⁹ Then those who heard it, ^(B)being^[b] convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

¹⁷ And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were ^(A)done by Him.

²⁷ So they answered Jesus and said, “We do not know.”

And He said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.
