^32 (A)‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.”

⁶ And he said, ^(A)“I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for ^(B)he was afraid to look at God.

²⁶ And as for the dead being raised, ^(A)have you not read in ^(B)the book of Moses, in ^(C)the passage about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ^(D)‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? ²⁷ He is not God of the dead, but of the living. You are quite wrong.”

^32 (A)‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob.’ And Moses trembled and did not dare to look.

³⁷ But that the dead are raised, ^(A)even Moses showed, in ^(B)the passage about the bush, where he calls ^(C)the Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. ³⁸ Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all ^(D)live to him.”

¹⁵ God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘The Lord,^[a] the ^(A)God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is ^(B)my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations. ¹⁶ Go and ^(C)gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, ^(D)“I have observed you and what has been done to you in Egypt,

¹⁶ But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed ^(A)to be called their God, for ^(B)he has prepared for them a city.
