¹¹ “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing a wedding robe,^(A)

⁴ Yet you have still a few persons in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes; they will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy.^{(A) 5} If you conquer, you will be clothed like them in white robes, and I will not erase your name from the book of life; I will confess your name before my Father and before his angels.^(B)

for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.^(A)

¹² Indeed, the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.^{(A) 13} And before him no creature is hidden, but all are naked and laid bare to the eyes of the one to whom we must render an account.^(B)

¹⁰ and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator.^{(A) 11} In that renewal^[a] there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, enslaved and free, but Christ is all and in all!^(B)

²⁴ and to clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.^(A)

³ Now Joshua was wearing filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. ⁴ The angel^[a] said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And to him he said, “See, I have taken your guilt away from you, and I will clothe you with festal apparel.”^(A)

³ for surely when we have been clothed in it^[a] we will not be found naked.

¹⁴ Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.^(A)

¹⁵ (“See, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and is clothed,^[a] not going about naked and exposed to shame.”)^(A)
