⁸ A very large crowd^[a] spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.^(A)

¹³ So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting,

¹³ Then hurriedly they all took their cloaks and spread them for him on the bare^[a] steps, and they blew the trumpet and proclaimed, “Jehu is king.”^(A)

⁴⁰ On the first day you shall take the fruit of majestic^[a] trees, branches of palm trees, boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.^(A)
