⁴⁵ Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they ^[a]perceived that He was speaking of them.

¹⁹ And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they ^[a]feared the people—for they knew He had spoken this parable against them.

⁴⁵ Then one of the lawyers answered and said to Him, “Teacher, by saying these things You reproach us also.”

¹² Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
