³⁹ So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

²³ This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge;^(A) and you, with the help of wicked men,^[a] put him to death by nailing him to the cross.^(B)

⁶ You have condemned and murdered^(A) the innocent one,^(B) who was not opposing you.

⁵² Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute?^(A) They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him^(B)—

²⁵ You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David:^(A)

²⁷ Indeed Herod^(C) and Pontius Pilate^(D) met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus,^(E) whom you anointed.

¹² Then the detachment of soldiers with its commander and the Jewish officials^(A) arrested Jesus. They bound him

⁵² Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple guard,^(A) and the elders, who had come for him, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come with swords and clubs? ⁵³ Every day I was with you in the temple courts,^(B) and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour^(C)—when darkness reigns.”^(D)

Peter Disowns Jesus^(E)

⁵⁴ Then seizing him, they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest.^(F) Peter followed at a distance.^(G)

Jesus Before the Sanhedrin^(A)

⁵⁷ Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas^(B) the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled.

¹¹ The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering,^(A) but the bodies are burned outside the camp.^{(B) 12} And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate^(C) to make the people holy^(D) through his own blood.^{(E) 13} Let us, then, go to him^(F) outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.^(G)
