¹⁰ And ^(A)when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?”

⁵ And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, ^(A)whom you are persecuting.

^16 (A)His disciples did not understand these things at first, but ^(B)when Jesus was glorified, then ^(C)they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him. ^17 (D)The crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to bear witness. ¹⁸ The reason why the crowd went to meet him ^(E)was that they heard he had done this sign. ¹⁹ So the Pharisees said to one another, ^(F)“You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, ^(G)the world has gone after him.”

⁹ Herod said, “John I beheaded, but who is this about whom I hear such things?” And ^(A)he sought to see him.

⁴⁹ Then those who were at table with him began to say among^[a] themselves, ^(A)“Who is this, who even forgives sins?”

²¹ And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying, “Who is this who speaks ^(A)blasphemies? ^(B)Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

⁴ Samuel did what the Lord commanded and came to Bethlehem. The elders of the city ^(A)came to meet him trembling and said, ^(B)“Do you come peaceably?”
