¹⁶ So ^(A)the last will be first, and the first last.”

⁷ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who ^(A)repents than over ninety-nine ^(B)righteous persons who need no repentance.

^28 (A)In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see ^(B)Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but ^(C)you yourselves cast out. ²⁹ And ^(D)people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and ^(E)recline at table in the kingdom of God. ³⁰ And behold, ^(F)some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”

^13 (A)“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy^[a] that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.

²³ For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. ²⁴ For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. ²⁵ But the one who looks into the perfect law, ^(A)the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, ^(B)he will be blessed in his doing.

¹⁹ So the Pharisees said to one another, ^(A)“You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, ^(B)the world has gone after him.”

Some Greeks Seek Jesus

²⁰ Now ^(C)among those who went up to worship at the feast were some ^(D)Greeks. ²¹ So these came to ^(E)Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and asked him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” ²² Philip went and told ^(F)Andrew; Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus.
